THE NEW STUNNING 2014 MOTO GUZZI CALIFORNIA 1400

2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring

The all-new 2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 brings modern technology and amenities to classic cruiser geometry.
All of this modern technology blends gracefully with artDeco-esque styling and elegant control surfaces and displays. Although large, the single instrument has a nice layout, the California model was largely a styling exercise.
The new moto California 1400 touring. This machine has been built as an all new interpretation of the original California, intended as a capable and throughly stylish touring bike. In design aesthetic and mechanics, this is an entirely new latest motorcycle, a good big deal for a small ‘’boutique’’ manufacture like moto guzzi. Since the original 1971 GT, the California has resurfaced in quite a few configurations, the most popular version being the Tonti-framed 1975 T3 California, which shares almost every component with The New Guzzi. Been quite a bit of talk about how the new moto guzzi California 1400 touring is inspired by the LAPD police bikes of the 1970s.
The engine is the largest ever built by the factory on the sunny shores of lake Como. It’s an all-new, four-valve-per-cylinder engine with single overhead cams and displacement of 1380cc. The bike has tons of loping guzzi, but is extremely smooth and quiet at speed.
Fortunately, Moto guzzi has already developed a wide range of accessories for the California, if the suspension out-performs its cruiser-based touring competition; the brakes absolutely blow them away.
Styling is a big part of the California story, and Moto Guzzi has nailed it. The bike is retro without fashion damage. “We don’t need plastic bikes,” Moto Guzzi design Chief Miguel Galluzzi said during a pre-ride presentation. The California features real metal surfaces, and exudes quality from top to bottom.
